Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds skinless salmon, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Nonstick cooking spray, as needed
  • Cooked brown rice, optional for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, gochujang paste, garlic oil, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper until smooth.
  2. Place salmon cubes in a large bowl. Pour marinade over the salmon and gently toss to coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to marinate.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the basket with nonstick spray.
  5. Arrange salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spacing them slightly apart.
  6. Air fry for 12–13 minutes, flipping halfway through, until salmon is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  7. Transfer to a platter and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve warm, with brown rice if desired.

Notes

  • For less heat, reduce gochujang to 2 teaspoons and increase honey slightly.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for more spice.
  • Use avocado oil and minced garlic if you don’t have garlic oil.
  • Pairs well with rice, quinoa, or steamed vegetables.
  • Double the recipe in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
