Ingredients

  • 1 pound skinless salmon filet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and cut into evenly sized 1-inch cubes.
  2. Place the salmon cubes in a large mixing bowl. Season with kosher salt and black pepper, tossing gently to coat.
  3. Pour the melted butter over the salmon. Add lemon juice and minced garlic, then toss gently until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes if required.
  5. Line the air fryer basket with a liner. Arrange salmon bites in a single layer without overcrowding. Pour any remaining sauce over the top.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature 145°F / 63°C).
  7. Carefully remove and drizzle any remaining lemon garlic butter from the liner over the salmon before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the basket to ensure even cooking and slightly crisp edges.
  • Use completely thawed salmon for best texture and even cooking.
  • Start checking for doneness at 5 minutes to prevent overcooking.
  • An air fryer liner is recommended to retain the butter sauce and simplify cleanup.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
