Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 g) ground turkey (mix of white and dark meat)
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup (55 g) breadcrumbs (regular or panko)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus extra for garnish if desired)
  • Olive oil spray, for air frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey and lightly beaten egg.
  2. Add the breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and chopped parsley.
  3. Gently mix everything together using your hands or a fork until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions (about 35–40 grams each) and roll into balls without packing too tightly.
  5. Lightly grease the air fryer basket or spray with olive oil. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer, leaving space between each one. Cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Lightly spray the tops of the meatballs with olive oil spray.
  7. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Add 1 teaspoon soy sauce for extra savory depth.
  • Mix in 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese for richer flavor.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for gentle heat.
  • Substitute ground chicken for turkey if preferred.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze cooked or uncooked meatballs for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes or microwave in short intervals.
