Ingredients

  • 21 oz apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp alcohol-free vanilla flavoring
  • 2 cans (8-count each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls, icing reserved
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix apple pie filling, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla flavoring.
  3. Open cinnamon rolls and set icing aside. Cut each roll into quarters.
  4. Fold cinnamon roll pieces into the apple mixture until well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Drizzle heavy cream over the top.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, until golden, bubbly, and cooked through.
  8. Let cool for 5–10 minutes. Warm reserved icing slightly and drizzle over the casserole.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use foil to tent the casserole if browning too quickly.
  • For less sweetness, reduce brown sugar or use low-sugar apple pie filling.
  • Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
