Ingredients

  • 1 slice of hearty bread (sourdough or ciabatta)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for toasting and drizzling)
  • ½ ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 whole burrata cheese (about 100 g)
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil
  • 3 slices of fresh tomato
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic aceto (vinegar)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Toast the bread until golden and crisp on both sides.
  2. Layer the avocado slices on the toasted bread.
  3. Tear the burrata into pieces and place over the avocado.
  4. Drizzle with chili oil.
  5. Top with tomato slices.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  8. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic aceto.
  9. Serve immediately while the toast is warm and crisp.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm avocado for best texture.
  • Burrata should be fresh and chilled until just before serving.
  • Use balsamic glaze for a sweeter, thicker finish.
  • Toast bread in a skillet or oven for an extra crispy base.
  • Adjust chili oil to taste for more or less heat.
