Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Toast black sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, then let cool.
  2. Add toasted sesame seeds to a blender.
  3. Pour in almond milk and blend until seeds are finely ground.
  4. Add frozen banana, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, chia seeds, and ice cubes.
  5. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed, then serve immediately.
