Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds large shrimp, shell-on and deveined
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 12 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 2 lemon wedges
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne, then toss shrimp to coat.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter.
  4. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and add remaining butter.
  6. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and soy sauce, then toss shrimp in the sauce.
  8. Add parsley and mix well.
  9. Warm rice with butter and salt.
  10. Serve shrimp over rice and spoon extra sauce on top. Garnish with lemon wedges.

  • Add extra cayenne or chili flakes for more heat.
  • Use jasmine rice for enhanced aroma.
