Ingredients

  • Apple Layer:
    • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Gala), peeled, cored, and diced
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Cheesecake Filling:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
    • ½ cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and lemon juice for 8–10 minutes, until tender and caramelized. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. In another bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, and whip to stiff peaks.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese until silky smooth.
  4. In serving cups, layer cheesecake filling and caramelized apples. Repeat if desired, finishing with apples on top.
  5. Refrigerate the cups for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  • Add a crunch layer with crushed graham crackers or granola between cheesecake and apples.
  • Swap Greek yogurt for cream cheese for a lighter twist and a tangy flavor.
  • Use alternative fruits (e.g., pear, peach) or mix in nuts for added texture.
  • I store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days—these taste even better the next day!
  • Not ideal for freezing; best served chilled.
