Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil, then mix to form a dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Punch down dough and divide into small portions.
  7. Flatten each piece, place a cube of mozzarella in the center, and seal into a ball.
  8. Arrange on baking sheet seam side down.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, and salt, then brush over warm bread bites.
  11. Serve warm.
