Ingredients

  • 8 slices white or whole wheat sandwich bread, crusts removed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Marinara sauce, for serving
  • Garlic herb sauce, for serving
  • Ranch dressing, for serving
  • Spicy ketchup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Flatten each bread slice using a rolling pin until thin and even.
  3. Place mozzarella and cheddar cheese on the bottom third of each slice. Roll up tightly, sealing the edge with a bit of melted butter if needed.
  4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, parsley, and salt.
  5. Place rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush with garlic butter.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and crisp. For air fryer, cook at 360°F (180°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm with dipping sauces of choice.
