  • 200 g crab meat, fresh or canned
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 200 g cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay or Cajun seasoning (optional)
  • Additional mozzarella and cheddar for topping
  • Paprika or chili flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes until just pink. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and stir in crab meat.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, lemon juice, parsley, and optional seasoning. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fold the seafood mixture into the cheesy base until evenly combined.
  6. Spread the mixture into a small baking dish. Top with extra mozzarella and cheddar, then sprinkle with paprika or chili flakes.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve hot with toasted baguette slices, crackers, tortilla chips, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • Use full-fat dairy for best texture and creaminess.
  • Thaw and drain frozen shrimp thoroughly before use.
  • Assemble ahead and bake just before serving for convenience.
  • For extra spice, mix in chili sauce, jalapeños, or more seasoning.
  • Leftovers can be reheated but avoid freezing.
