  • 120 g shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or mix)
  • 150 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the potatoes, then squeeze out excess moisture using a clean towel.
  2. Place drained potatoes in a bowl and add cheese, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parsley.
  3. Mix thoroughly until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  4. Divide dough into portions and shape into flat discs about 1–2 cm thick.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook each disc for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Squeeze potatoes well to avoid soggy texture.
  • Use a mix of cheeses for better flavor.
  • Add herbs or spices for variation.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking.
  • Reheat in skillet for best crispiness.
