Ingredients

  • Peanut Butter Filling:
  • 1 ½ cups creamy all-natural peanut butter
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar
  • Brownies:
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup all-purpose or gluten-free flour
  • ⅓ cup creamy all-natural peanut butter (for swirl)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix 1½ cups peanut butter with powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir melted butter with chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Microwave briefly if needed.
  4. In another bowl, whisk sugar and eggs for 2 minutes until light and slightly fluffy.
  5. Stir melted chocolate mixture into the sugar and eggs until combined.
  6. Add cocoa powder, vanilla, and flour. Stir just until smooth.
  7. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter filling over the batter and gently spread into an even layer.
  9. Top with remaining brownie batter and smooth the surface.
  10. Drop dollops of the ⅓ cup peanut butter on top and swirl with a knife or toothpick.
  11. Bake for 28–30 minutes, until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  12. Let cool completely in the pan before lifting out and slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Use creamy, all-natural peanut butter for the best swirl and texture.
  • Cool completely before slicing for clean, neat edges.
  • Brownies taste even better the next day as flavors meld.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for longer freshness.
  • Freeze individually for a grab-and-go treat.
