Ingredients

  • 1 small roll canned biscuits (6 to 8 biscuits, plain)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place butter in a 6×9-inch baking dish and set it in the oven to melt while preheating.
  2. Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces.
  3. In a bowl, mix white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Toss biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Remove the baking dish from the oven and spread coated biscuit pieces in an even layer.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  7. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make icing.
  8. Let biscuit bites cool for 2 minutes, then drizzle icing over the warm bites. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add finely chopped apples before baking for an apple cinnamon twist.
  • Substitute pumpkin spice for cinnamon for a seasonal flavor.
  • Top with chopped nuts for crunch.
  • Dust with powdered sugar instead of icing for lighter sweetness.
  • Best served warm and fresh out of the oven.
