Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 packet (0.25 oz / 7 g) unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups hot prepared coffee
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 2 tablespoons of hot water and stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Transfer the dissolved gelatin to a saucepan.
  3. Add the hot coffee and sugar to the saucepan and stir well to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar completely.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch square dish or divide among 4 heatproof glasses.
  6. Let cool slightly, then refrigerate for 6–7 hours until fully set.
  7. Cut into cubes if using a large dish, or serve directly from the glasses.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to taste for a more or less sweet jelly.
  • Use instant coffee if desired—just prepare 2 cups as directed.
  • Add vanilla extract or cinnamon for flavor variation.
  • Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or condensed milk for extra indulgence.
  • Do not freeze, as texture may change when thawed.
