Ingredients

  • 1 bag coleslaw mix (approx. 14 oz)
  • 2 medium apples, cored and thinly sliced or diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 12 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix, apples, dried cranberries, and red onion. Toss gently.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture and gently toss until well coated.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix again lightly.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Toss apples with lemon juice if preparing ahead to prevent browning.
  • Use Greek yogurt to replace part of the mayo for a lighter version.
  • Add toasted nuts or celery for extra crunch.
  • Not suitable for freezing due to texture loss.
