Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped (claw and tail)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives (plus more for garnish)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 24 brioche or New England–style hot dog buns
  • Optional: extra melted butter for toasting the buns

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  2. In a bowl, combine lobster meat with garlic butter, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chives, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to coat.
  3. Brush buns with melted butter and toast in a skillet or oven until golden and crisp.
  4. Fill each bun generously with the creamy lobster mixture.
  5. Garnish with extra chives and serve warm or chilled.

Notes

  • Use green onions instead of chives for a sharper bite.
  • Add smoked paprika or cayenne for warmth or spice.
  • Mix in finely diced celery for added crunch.
  • Add lemon zest for more citrus brightness.
  • Use brioche sliders for appetizer-sized portions.
