Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen raw extra jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail on or off, no need to thaw)

  • 3 tablespoons garlic herb butter (solid, not melted)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  2. Place the frozen shrimp directly into the air fryer cooking pot in a mostly single layer.
  3. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning evenly over the shrimp.
  4. Add the solid garlic herb butter on top of the shrimp.
  5. Air fry at 400°F for 5 minutes.
  6. Open the air fryer and stir the shrimp to coat evenly in the melted butter and seasoning.
  7. Return to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5–6 minutes, until shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • If using fresh shrimp, reduce total cook time slightly and check at 8 minutes.
  • For extra spice, add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
  • Start with 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning if using a salty store-bought blend.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat at 350°F for 2–3 minutes to avoid overcooking.
  • Cook in batches if doubling to prevent overcrowding.
