Ingredients

Cooked brisket, shredded or thinly sliced

Slider buns (tray buns or Hawaiian rolls), sliced horizontally

Seedy mustard (old-fashioned or Dijon)

Havarti cheese (or provolone, cheddar, or smoked gouda)

Butter, garlic, and parsley (for brushing top buns)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and line a baking dish with parchment for easy cleanup.
  2. Layer the bottom halves of buns in the pan; spread a thin layer of mustard.
  3. Add shredded brisket and top with Havarti cheese.
  4. Place top halves of buns on sliders. Mix melted butter with garlic and parsley, and brush over the top buns.
  5. Bake for about 12 minutes, until cheese is melted and buns are golden.
  6. Optionally, brush more garlic-butter on top after baking for extra flavor. Let rest briefly and serve.

Notes

  • Swap Havarti for provolone, cheddar, or smoked gouda.
  • Use deli roast beef if you don’t have leftovers.
  • Skip the garlic-butter for a lower-fat version.
  • Make ahead: assemble sliders, refrigerate, and add garlic-butter before baking.
