Ingredients

  • 2 cups oil, or as needed (for frying)
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 12 chicken wings

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil and lemon-pepper seasoning. Set aside.
  3. Fry chicken wings in hot oil for about 8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should be 165°F/74°C).
  4. Drain wings briefly on paper towels, then immediately toss them in the lemon-pepper mixture until well coated.
  5. Serve hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Add a splash of fresh lemon juice to enhance citrus flavor.
  • For added heat, mix in cayenne or red pepper flakes.
  • Bake at 400°F for 40–45 minutes (flip halfway) for a lighter option.
  • Air fry at 390°F for 20–25 minutes for less oil and great crunch.
  • Pat wings dry before cooking for maximum crispiness.
