Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup (100g) Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup (100g) Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup (100g) Gouda cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup (50g) Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 eggs
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/3 cup (50g) breadcrumbs, for coating
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the Feta, Cheddar, Gouda, and Parmesan cheeses.
  2. Add flour, oregano, eggs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until a cohesive mixture forms.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a plate.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a medium pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs for even coating.
  6. Fry in batches until golden and crispy on all sides.
  7. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Add herbs or chili flakes for extra flavor.
  • Double-coat with egg and breadcrumbs for more crunch.
  • Use mozzarella in place of Gouda for a milder version.
