Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca starch
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons tahini (for swirl)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for swirl)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk tahini, eggs, melted coconut oil or dairy-free butter, granulated sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, tapioca starch, baking powder, and salt until thick batter forms.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  6. Mix 4 tablespoons tahini with powdered sugar and drop spoonfuls over brownie batter; swirl with toothpick or knife.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes until center looks set; shorter for fudgier texture.
  8. Cool completely before slicing into 16 brownies.
