Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 4 slices sandwich bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic powder and dried parsley until smooth.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place two slices on a surface, buttered side down. Top with shredded cheese.
  4. Cover with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing up.
  5. Heat a large skillet over low heat. Add the sandwiches and cook for 4–5 minutes until golden and crisp.
  6. Flip carefully and cook the other side for 4–5 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and melty.

Notes

  • Cook over low heat to avoid burning while ensuring cheese melts fully.
  • Use sturdy bread like sourdough for added texture and structure.
  • Add tomato slices or herbs for extra flavor.
  • Can be made dairy-free with plant-based butter and cheese.
  • Reheat in a skillet to restore crispiness.
