Ingredients

  • 450 g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) grated parmesan cheese
  • 225 g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) reserved pasta water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add parmesan cheese and stir until smooth and creamy.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  8. Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to combine.
  9. Adjust seasoning if needed and garnish with parsley before serving.
