Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and cut in half

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Salt and black pepper, to taste

½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (≈ 200°C).
  2. Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until evenly coated.
  3. Spread sprouts cut-side down on a baking sheet in a single layer, avoiding crowding.
  4. Roast for 25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden and tender.
  5. Optionally broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crispy edges.
  6. Remove from oven and generously top with freshly grated Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Drizzle with honey for sweetness.
  • Add red chili flakes for spice.
  • Mix brown sugar with olive oil for deeper caramelization.
  • Stir in fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, or sage for added aroma.
