Ingredients

  • 13 to 15 graham crackers (about 1 ½ sleeves)
  • 1 ¼ cups unsalted butter (2 ½ sticks)
  • 1 ¼ cups dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
  • 10 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 2 cups)
  • ⅔ cup toffee bits or toppings of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper, nonstick foil, or a silicone mat.
  2. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer to cover the entire pan.
  3. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter and brown sugar, stirring until combined.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  6. Pour hot toffee mixture evenly over graham crackers and gently spread as needed.
  7. Bake for 5–7 minutes, until bubbling.
  8. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
  9. Cover with foil and let sit for 5 minutes to soften the chocolate.
  10. Uncover and spread the melted chocolate evenly.
  11. Sprinkle with toffee bits or your desired toppings.
  12. Cool completely at room temperature or chill for 2 hours until set.
  13. Break into pieces or cut into squares. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use parchment or a silicone mat for easy removal and cleanup.
  • Dark brown sugar gives a richer flavor, but light brown sugar can be substituted.
  • If chocolate doesn’t melt fully, place back in the warm oven for 1 minute.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep it crisp.
  • Try topping with nuts, coconut, or mini marshmallows for variety.
