Ingredients

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup finely crushed ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tablespoons strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup finely grated dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Extra powdered sugar, for light dusting

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix softened mascarpone and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Stir in cooled espresso, coffee liqueur (if using), and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  3. Fold in crushed ladyfinger cookies and grated dark chocolate until a thick, moldable mixture forms.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Scoop small portions and roll into bite-sized balls.
  6. Roll each truffle in cocoa powder to coat. Optionally dust some with powdered sugar.
  7. Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
