  • Diet: Gluten Free

Ingredients

  • 2 cups medium-large strawberries (1820 strawberries), washed and completely dried
  • 1 cup chopped high-quality dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons roasted chopped hazelnuts (or nuts of choice)

Instructions

  1. Gently rinse strawberries under cool water and pat completely dry with paper towels.
  2. Line a tray or baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil, stirring frequently until smooth and glossy. Remove from heat.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip the lower half into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Place dipped strawberries onto the prepared tray and immediately sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Refrigerate uncovered for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.
  7. Serve once hardened or keep chilled until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help chocolate adhere properly.
  • Melt chocolate gently to prevent overheating and dull finish.
  • Best enjoyed within 24 hours for optimal freshness.
  • Store in a single layer in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Do not freeze, as strawberries release moisture when thawed.
  • Microwave melting option: heat in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each.
