Ingredients

  • 15 chicken wings
  • oil for frying
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Season chicken wings with salt and black pepper.
  2. Lightly coat wings in flour for a thin, even layer.
  3. Heat oil to 175°C (350°F) and fry wings in batches for 8–10 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, water, and cornstarch.
  6. Pour mixture into a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened and glossy.
  7. Add fried wings to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with parsley.
  9. Serve immediately.
