Ingredients

  • 1 cup thinly sliced strawberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 12 shots espresso
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 8 oz milk
  • 1 tablespoon homemade strawberry syrup (for latte)
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tablespoon homemade strawberry syrup (for foam)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon half and half

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine strawberries, granulated sugar, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Strain and let the syrup cool.
  2. Brew 1–2 shots of espresso and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved. Let cool slightly.
  3. Fill a glass with ice and add 1 tablespoon of strawberry syrup.
  4. Pour in the milk, then slowly add the espresso to create layers.
  5. In a small glass, combine 1 tablespoon strawberry syrup, heavy cream, and half and half. Froth until thick and fluffy.
  6. Spoon or pour the strawberry cold foam over the latte.
  7. Gently stir before drinking and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Homemade syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less strawberry syrup.
  • Substitute espresso with strong brewed coffee if needed.
  • Use plant-based milk for a dairy-free version (foam texture may vary).
  • No frother? Shake the foam ingredients in a jar or whisk vigorously.
  • Best enjoyed fresh; do not store assembled drink.
