Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, sweet paprika, garlic, cumin, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, oregano, and yogurt.
  2. Add chicken cubes and coat well. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 2 hours.
  3. Thread chicken onto skewers, alternating with bell pepper and onion.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. Remove from heat, let rest briefly, and serve.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier result.
  • Add chili flakes or cayenne for extra heat.
  • Try vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms for variation.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water before use to prevent burning.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently to avoid drying out the chicken.
