Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (3.9 oz) package chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk (room temperature)
  • 2 cups mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix until smooth and slightly thickened.
  3. Add cake mix directly to pudding mixture and stir until just combined (batter will be thick).
  4. Fold in most of the chopped Reese’s, reserving some for topping.
  5. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan and sprinkle reserved Reese’s on top.
  6. Bake 25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm for best gooey texture.

Notes

  • Swap Reese’s with Snickers, peanut butter M&Ms, or other candy for variety.
  • Add pretzels or peanuts for salty crunch.
  • Top with chocolate chips or fudge sauce before baking for extra richness.
  • Make gluten-free by using a GF cake mix and GF pudding.
  • Best served warm but also tasty at room temp or chilled.
