Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 g) Greek yogurt (low-fat or full-fat)
  • 1/2 cup (40 g) chocolate protein powder (or vanilla)
  • 12 tbsp maple syrup, optional, to taste
  • 23 tbsp cocoa powder, optional (used when the protein powder is unflavored)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and chocolate protein powder. If using unflavored protein powder, add the cocoa powder and maple syrup.
  2. Whisk or stir with a fork until fully smooth and combined.
  3. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer on medium speed for 1–2 minutes, until fluffy. If using a hand whisk or hand mixer, whisk longer for a light texture.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness with more maple syrup or honey if needed.
  5. Serve immediately with desired toppings, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Use whey protein for the fluffiest texture; plant-based or casein also work with slight variations.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste with maple syrup, honey, or low-calorie sweeteners.
  • Make it vegan with dairy-free yogurt and plant-based protein powder.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
  • Mix well to prevent lumps, especially with casein or plant proteins.
