Ingredients

  • 300 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), finely chopped
  • 180 g tahini (well-stirred)
  • 60 g unsalted butter
  • 80 ml pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line a 20 cm square pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  2. Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, melt tahini and butter, stirring until combined.
  4. Pour warm tahini mixture over the chocolate. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  5. Add maple syrup, vanilla extract, and fine sea salt. Stir until glossy and combined.
  6. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until firm.
  9. Cut into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.
