Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp crushed red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion; cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add garlic and ginger; cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef; cook 5–7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Drain fat if needed.
  5. Add cabbage; stir and cook 4–5 minutes until just tender.
  6. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, pepper, and chili flakes.
  7. Pour sauce into skillet; stir to coat well and cook another 2 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, and serve.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef with ground chicken or turkey for a leaner version.
  • Add bell peppers, mushrooms, or carrots for more vegetables.
