Ingredients

  • 3 to 3 1/2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 packets dry onion soup mix (1 ounce each)
  • 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth (preferably low sodium)

Instructions

  1. Slice onions into thin half-moons and spread them evenly in the bottom of a slow cooker.
