Ingredients

  • Brownie Layer:
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 cups granulated sugar
    • 4 large eggs, room temperature
    • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Peanut Nougat Layer:
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
    • 1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme
    • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Caramel Peanut Layer:
    • 14 oz soft caramels, unwrapped
    • 2 tbsp heavy cream
    • 1 1/4 cups roasted salted peanuts, roughly chopped
  • Chocolate Topping:
    • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
    • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • Garnish (optional):
    • 34 Snickers bars, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the sides.
  2. Brownie Layer: Whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined. Spread into prepared pan and bake for 22–25 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. Nougat Layer: In a saucepan, melt butter, sugar, and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in marshmallow creme, peanut butter, and vanilla. Spread over cooled brownie layer.
  4. Caramel Layer: Microwave caramels and heavy cream in 20-second intervals until melted and smooth. Stir in chopped peanuts. Spread evenly over nougat layer. Press chopped Snickers bars into caramel if using. Chill for 20–30 minutes.
  5. Chocolate Topping: Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter until smooth. Spread evenly over chilled caramel layer.
  6. Chill completely for 1–2 hours or until fully set. Slice into bars and serve.

Notes

  • For easier slicing, use a warm knife and let bars sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before cutting.
  • You can substitute boxed brownie mix for the base in a pinch.
  • Nougat can be made using melted mini marshmallows with corn syrup if marshmallow creme is unavailable.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate.
