Ingredients

  • 400 g premium beef mince
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  • 400 g Hokkien noodles
  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil (such as vegetable or canola oil)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat and add the neutral cooking oil.
  2. Add the beef mince and minced garlic. Cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking up the mince, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in the grated ginger, sesame oil, white vinegar, soy sauce, and sweet chilli sauce.
  4. Add the Hokkien noodles directly to the pan. Toss well until noodles are loosened and evenly coated.
  5. Continue cooking for 5–10 minutes, stirring frequently, until noodles are heated through and sticky.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • Add vegetables like capsicum, carrots, or spinach for extra nutrition.
  • Swap beef for chicken mince if preferred.
  • Add chilli flakes or paste for more heat.
  • Use more sweet chilli sauce for a sweeter dish.
  • Low-sodium soy sauce works well for less salt.
