Ingredients

  • 8 cups popped popcorn (about 1 standard bag)
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate or vanilla melting wafers
  • Green food coloring (neon green works best)
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for smoother texture)
  • ½ cup red and green M&M’s
  • Red heart sprinkles (optional)
  • Christmas sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place popped popcorn in a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels.
  2. Melt the white chocolate or vanilla melting wafers in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each round until smooth. Add butter if using.
  3. Stir in green food coloring until a vibrant Grinch-like shade is achieved.
  4. Pour the green coating over the popcorn and gently toss until evenly coated.
  5. While the coating is still warm, add red and green M&M’s, red heart sprinkles, and Christmas sprinkles. Lightly press them in so they stick.
  6. Spread the popcorn onto parchment paper and allow it to set for 10–15 minutes.
  7. Break into chunks and serve or store.

Notes

  • Use plain or lightly salted popcorn for best results.
  • Gel food coloring gives the most vibrant color.
  • Let chocolate cool slightly before mixing if it’s too hot to prevent sogginess.
  • This recipe is easily doubled or tripled for parties or gifting.
