Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream, chilled
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup cherry cola, slightly reduced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cherries or maraschino cherries
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate shavings
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pour the chilled heavy cream into a large mixing bowl and whip until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and reduced cherry cola until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cherry cola mixture using a spatula until fully combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped cherries and half of the chocolate shavings.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container or loaf pan.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate shavings over the top.
  7. Cover tightly and freeze for 4 to 6 hours or until firm.
  8. Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
  9. Serve topped with maraschino cherries if desired.

Notes

  • Reducing the cherry cola helps intensify the flavor and prevents icy texture.
  • Fresh cherries provide the best flavor, but thawed frozen cherries also work well.
  • For extra texture, add mini chocolate chips or crushed cookies.
  • Store with plastic wrap pressed against the surface for creamier texture.
  • Allow the ice cream to soften slightly before serving for easier scooping.
