Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups M&M candies
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in M&M candies and chocolate chips if using.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on baking sheet briefly, then transfer to a rack.
