Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts (about 500 g), sliced lengthwise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (240 ml)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (120 ml)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (50 g)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits.
  6. Stir in cream, Parmesan, paprika, onion powder, oregano, and chili flakes.
  7. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.
  9. Simmer for another 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier option.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for variation.
  • Use half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Do not overheat to prevent sauce from separating.
