Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and optional pecans.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form chocolate dough.
  5. Press into pan and bake for 15–20 minutes.
  6. Top hot crust with marshmallows and return to oven briefly until puffed.
  7. Melt chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter together.
  8. Fold in Rice Krispies cereal and mix until coated.
  9. Spread topping over marshmallow layer.
  10. Cool completely, chill, slice, and serve.
