Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

  • 1/2 cup fruit puree (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together heavy cream and milk in a bowl.
  2. Add sugar and whisk until fully dissolved.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn for 20–25 minutes.
  5. If no ice cream maker, freeze mixture and stir every 30 minutes for 2–3 hours.

  7. Transfer to airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  8. Let sit briefly before serving for easier scooping.
