  • Buttercream Frosting:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 24 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and prepare three 6-inch cake pans.

  3. Repeat similar steps for vanilla layer using vanilla ingredients and pour into second pan.
  4. For strawberry layer, follow same method, adding strawberry extract and food coloring. Pour into third pan.
  5. Bake all layers for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  6. Prepare frosting by beating butter, then gradually adding powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  7. Assemble cake: place chocolate layer, frost, add vanilla layer, frost again, then place strawberry layer on top.
  8. Frost the entire cake evenly and decorate as desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberry puree instead of extract for a natural flavor.
  • Level cake layers for even stacking.
  • Whipped cream or cream cheese frosting can be used instead of buttercream.
  • Store at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate up to 5 days.
  • Freeze slices for up to 2 months if needed.
