Ingredients

  • 8 cups water, divided
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add 5 cups of water, oats, and cinnamon stick to a blender.
  2. Blend on high for about 1 minute until smooth and creamy.
  3. Strain the mixture into a large pitcher using a fine mesh sieve.
  4. Press solids with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
  5. Add the remaining 3 cups of water through the strainer to capture extra flavor.
  6. Stir in sugar and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.
  8. Serve cold over ice and garnish with cinnamon if desired.
