Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 small red chili (optional)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or skillet and cook chicken until browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken and sauté garlic, ginger, and chili until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and stir-fry until slightly softened but still crisp.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and pour in the sauce.
  6. Toss everything together and cook until well coated and heated through.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve over rice.

Notes

  • Do not overcook cabbage to keep it slightly crunchy.
  • Chicken thighs give more juiciness than breast meat.
  • Adjust chili for desired spice level.
  • Add a splash of water if sauce becomes too thick.
  • Best served fresh and hot.
