Ingredients
2 lbs country-style beef ribs
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
1/2 cup cola (or any carbonated soft drink)
Instructions
Lightly grease the slow cooker or use a liner for easy cleanup.
Place the ribs in the slow cooker in a single layer if possible.
Pour the cola over the ribs.
Pour the barbecue sauce evenly over the ribs to coat.
Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours until tender.
Optional: Transfer ribs to a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes for a caramelized finish.
Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
No need to brown ribs beforehand, but it can add extra flavor.
Do not overcrowd the slow cooker for even cooking.
Broiling adds a slightly crispy texture.
Use your favorite barbecue sauce for best results.
Cola enhances tenderness and sweetness without overpowering.
