Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries, halved for garnish
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 8 ounces white chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
  • 16 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup orange juice or strawberry syrup
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • White chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the strawberries. In a small bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes to release juices.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone cheese until smooth. Slowly fold in the melted white chocolate until fully combined.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until light and creamy.
  6. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into orange juice or strawberry syrup without soaking too long.
  7. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  8. Spread half of the mascarpone-white chocolate mixture over the ladyfingers.
  9. Add a layer of sliced strawberries over the cream mixture.
  10. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, cream mixture, and strawberries.
  11. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  12. Before serving, garnish with halved strawberries and optional white chocolate shavings.

Notes

  • Fresh strawberries provide the best texture and flavor.
  • Do not oversoak the ladyfingers to avoid a soggy dessert.
  • Overnight chilling enhances the flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute cream cheese for mascarpone if needed.
  • Mixed berries can be used for variation.
  • This dessert should always be served chilled.
  • Freeze tightly wrapped for up to 1 month if desired.
